The leaf lace shawl is pinned out and blocking...Sophie is felting right this moment -you thought I forgot about her, huh? I've been adding a few rows whenever I have a chance at lunch, and yesterday I realized she just needed a bind off and handles. And the Bainbridge Scarf is done! I don't think I've blogged about this before. I started it about 2 weeks ago when I needed a mindless project. I was surfing Ravelry and came across this one - I had 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK that needed a project. This was just what I needed. It's knit in a 1x1 broken/garter rib. I like the "wrong" side so much that I'm using it for the outside - it has a great texture. It only took 3 days to do -it's just that there was a week in between the last two of those days :) It's the perfect neck scarf. Keeps the wind away from my neck, and doesn't have long ends to get all blown around when it's really windy. The pattern is by Minty, at PepperKnit. It's amazing what a girl can get done on a chilly Saturday with a tapestry needle and Father of the Bride (I and II) marathon. And hey - this means I can start something new!
